The luxury boutique hotel and spa, and is set to break ground this winter on the sitewhere the original Mission Inn once stood.

Hotel site owner and developer, Bill Griffith of Rivendell Land Company, chose the renowned, international boutique hotel brand to operate the Mission Inn so all guests will be ensured the highest of standards and will receive full-service experience.

Only the Autograph Collection offers the rich experiences of an independent hotel stay with all the benefits of Marriott Rewards, the award-winning loyalty program that enables guests to earn and redeem points for free nights and flights across the globe.

"We are very pleased to have selected Autograph Collection hotels by Marriott International as the operator of the Mission Inn San Juan Capistrano," said Dan Friess, property manager of Rivendell Land Company. With its prime location next to the historic Mission San Juan Capistrano, Mission Inn San Juan Capistrano will join the "Jewel of the Missions" in promoting the town's unique historical and cultural heritage. The hotel's California mission-inspired architecture and exhibit of curated artifacts from Mission San Juan Capistrano will create a natural "extension" of the beloved Mission San Juan Capistrano, California's landmark #200.

Griffith and Rivendell's team are equally committed to Mission San Juan Capistrano, and are collaborating with the Mission's executive director, Mechelle Lawrence Adams, to ensure the Mission Inn will complement the historical aesthetics of downtown, be sensitive to the needs of the city, and stand as a landmark for future generations.

"San Juan Capistrano is at the tipping point of a renaissance," said George O'Connell, President of the Mission Preservation Foundation. "A premiere project of this caliber, with a full service internationally recognized brand, delivering a boutique hotel steps away from the Mission, promises so much for this historic community’s future. The Mission Preservation Foundation is grateful that the local development community has chosen to invest here and deliver a historically minded 4-star boutique hotel project to the town.”

It is also close to bike trails linked to some of the most beautiful beaches in Southern California; equestrian enthusiasts can enjoy scenic horse trails, nearby stables and an acclaimed equestrian center. With the Mission next door, Mission Inn will be ideally situated to host weddings, wedding receptions, and special events, providing also a stunning backdrop for photographers. For those who wish to relax and be pampered, Mission Inn will include other onsite amenities such as a signature restaurant, organic pool feature, spa and gym.

"This quality of a hotel, and any other that is done with the scale and precious aesthetic of the community in mind, will surely enhance the community in immeasurable ways forever," Lawrence Adams said.
